Air outlet chimneys
For optimized effective ventilation
To guarantee air extraction optimally adapted to the needs of the animals, Big Dutchman has a wide range of air outlet chimneys and their corresponding integrated fans. With the optimization of the flow technology of our chimneys, the air performance of the fans is increased and, with it, the volumetric flow of outlet air is especially efficient.
The half-moon blade fans, compatible with the chimneys, are characterized by their high quality. The blades are made of profiled aluminum mold parts, which makes them extremely resistant to cold and corrosion. The aerodynamic shape allows them to be more efficient, more pressure-resistant and quieter than conventional fans. The following chimneys and air extraction systems can be used:

CL 600 and CL 820: the originals for professionals
air outlet chimneys with unique construction and diverse use
Our CL series air outlet chimneys have been used for more than 25 years. They have proven their effectiveness hundreds of thousands of times and are characterized by their excellent properties:
Key advantages:

- they are made of polypropylene with a smooth dirt-repellent surface → great stability;

- the labyrinth seal between the roof opening tube and the cover ensures watertightness;
- no more sealing material is needed;
- self-supporting construction → requires no additional suspensions or reinforcements;
- roof cover and external tubes are made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) →they can be adapted during on-site assembly;
- the cover is supplied according to the slope and profile of the roof, the lateral or ridge assembly and the height above the roof;
simple assembly; - the CL 74 servomotor allows an exact reduction of the volumetric flow with minimum ventilation.
Radial guide for CL 600 and CL 820
for a significant increase in the chimney's reach
The radial guide is easily screwed onto the air outlet chimney above the fan. By modifying the radial and circular components of the flow, the concentration of the expelled air jet is achieved. In this way, a significant increase in the chimney's reach is achieved. The radial guide can be installed later without problems.

- no extension of the chimneys is necessary → without wind anchors, the unaesthetic appearance of the barns is avoided;

CL 600 and CL 820 air outlet chimneys for wall mounting
good adjustment and pressure resistance even at low power
The CL 600 and CL 820 air outlet chimneys are also ideal for wall mounting, such as the gable or the side wall. Compared to simple wall fans, the wall chimneys with motorized closing flap allow precise adjustment of the volumetric flow of the outlet air, especially with minimum ventilation.
In addition, they are less susceptible to air currents. In this way, the amount of exhaust air can be better adapted to the real needs of the animals. For reasons of space and weight, no diffuser cone is supplied in standard shipments. However, it is available optionally.
ECblue
the innovative fan with great energy-saving potential
The ECblue fans not only save a lot of energy, but are also very stable against pressure and thus less sensitive to air currents. Pressure stability is important, especially in the case of minimum ventilation. In addition, the noise level drops by approx. 50% compared to conventional fans.
An external EC motor directly drives the ECblue. When used together with Dynamic MultiStep, you can save up to 50% of electricity costs compared to traditional systems.

MultiStep
the outlet air control principle for gradual ventilation
MultiStep is a combination of gradual regulation and on/off procedure of fan groups. The advantage is gradual ventilation that is optimally adapted to the needs of the animals. In addition, the ventilation system facilitates greater pressure stability and is less sensitive to air currents.
The climate computer regulates the system by controlling only one air outlet chimney gradually from 0 to 100%, and turning the other chimneys off or on at maximum power when required (on/off procedure).
For the gradual control of one or two chimneys, the CL 74V servomotor is used. If more than two chimneys must be controlled gradually, the CL 74 is available with a 0-10 V analog regulation signal. For the on/off procedure, the chimneys are divided into groups. For this, the CL 74 (on/off) is used. All servomotors are mounted directly on the positioning shaft of the rotating flap/butterfly valve and receive an electrical power of 24 V. This guarantees a simple and safe emergency opening in case of power outage (378 T).
Dynamic MultiStep
the advancement in the development of the MultiStep principle
The new Dynamic MultiStep air extraction system advances the development of the MultiStep principle. Exclusively the new ECblue fans are used, which save a large amount of energy. They are not switched on at 100% speed, but already at approx. 50%.
Only when all the fans in the barn are switched on one after another at 50% (this value may change depending on the required pressure stability), and the ventilation need continues to increase, will the speed of all of them be raised in parallel up to 100%. Compared to the MultiStep solution, with the new Dynamic MultiStep control principle, electricity consumption is reduced by up to 50%.
The key: by reducing the speed by half, only an eighth of the energy is required. Also in this case the climate computer takes care of the control.
DynamicAir
for the exact recording of the volumetric flow of a chimney
DynamicAir is a principle for further optimizing the air exchange in the barn. Especially in minimum ventilation, the exact recording of the amount of exhaust air is important to achieve optimal climate conditions for the animals, while at the same time reducing heating costs. For this, a DynamicAir sensor is installed in the suction cone of the chimney. The sensor transmits the measured signal to the climate computer. There, this signal is recalculated as the corresponding exhaust air performance. In this way the air exchange can be controlled exactly. For this, the characteristic curve of the suction unit calculated on a test bench is entered into the climate computer. The chimney does not reduce the volumetric flow.

- reduction of heating costs through exact minimum ventilation;

BD VC air outlet chimneys
with different tube diameters
The BD VC air outlet chimneys are available in a wide variety of diameters. Thus they adapt perfectly to each ventilation concept and to all possible distances between trusses.
The chimneys are made of 30 mm thick polyurethane tubes and coated with smooth glass-fiber reinforced polyester. This means they have good insulation, water condensation is avoided and soundproofing is improved.
The chimney tubes are supplied in halves (VC) and assembled on site. This saves transport costs. However, they are also available as a complete tube (AF). In general, the chimney is covered with a roof cover.

Centralized air extraction
for the concentration of the emission source
In the future, the reduction of emissions from barns will continue to gain importance. In fact, in some countries it is already required to concentrate the outlet air at one point, centrally, and to carry out the emission from a minimum height of 10 m. Because a concentrated emission source acts like a large chimney with a stable air jet. calculated on a test bench. The chimney does not reduce the volumetric flow.

- separation of the animal area and the ventilation tower → notably better hygiene conditions;
- no air leaks due to fan shutdown;
- no rainwater enters the barn;
- no unwanted light incidence;
- no static problems in the barn ceiling;
- thorough and simple cleaning of the tower and chimneys with the high-pressure cleaner, separated from the barn;
- simple assembly of the chimneys on the tower;
- no stability problems in case of strong wind.
