In modern poultry management, weight control is a decisive management tool. Especially in poultry fattening, strict weight recording is essential for economic success.

But also in broiler breeder management or in the rearing and layer production phases, the farmer should know the weight development of the flock. Excessive or insufficient weight always has negative effects on production success and, with it, on the full performance of the animals and the economic result.

Big Dutchman has the right scale for each objective, fixed or mobile installation, as a standalone device or integrated into the production computer.

Swing20

Multi-purpose poultry scale

Swing20 consists of a load cell and a plastic platform (optionally also steel). With the help of the telescopic suspension, the platform can be easily adjusted in height and thus adapts to the age of the animals. The birds accept the scale well, which results in many weighings and precise weight determination.

Swing 20 hangs from the barn ceiling. The scale is easily disassembled for cleaning work, while the electronic part remains installed near the ceiling, protected from dirt.

Nesca2

Nesca 2 is a patented poultry scale developed by Big Dutchman, which integrates into the Relax 2 communal laying nest. When the hens visit the nest for egg laying, their weight is recorded automatically. With Nesca 2, the weights of many hens can be captured over a wide range and without extra effort – regardless of whether they are heavy, light or sick hens.

Nesca 2 consists of a floor mesh supported by two load cells. The load cells transmit the obtained data to the production computer through a weighing module.
