Relax 2 is an automatic communal laying nest already used successfully in the market. It adapts perfectly to the needs of broiler breeders and contributes to the good quality of hatching eggs. The rear wall of the nest closes it automatically after the laying phase. Thus, the nest stays clean and the hens cannot sleep in it. The almost screwless insertion system allows quick assembly.

To improve hygiene in the barn, a part of it should be equipped with a manure pit with slats (preferably plastic). The excrement is stored in the pit during the production cycle and removed from the barn at the end of the cycle. The correct configuration (width and height) of the manure pit is very important so that the hens can easily get from the litter area to the nest, passing through the manure pit.

Nesca 2 is the new patented animal scale developed by Big Dutchman, which integrates into the communal laying nest. When the hens visit the nest for egg laying, their weight is automatically determined. Whether it is a light, heavy or sick hen, with Nesca 2 the weights of many hens can be recorded over a wide range and without extra effort.

Automatic manure removal for barns with manure pit

The SIMBA single-layer belt automatic manure removal system, developed by Big Dutchman, regularly removes from the barn the manure that until now accumulated in the pit. This contributes decisively to the reduction of ammonia emissions and thus to the improvement of the barn environment. In addition, the low jump height makes it much easier for the hens to reach the nest.
