Pigs need to stay occupied. They have to drink, feed and rest, but they also need to be active the rest of the time and look for distraction and manipulable materials. To meet this need and prevent behavioural problems, Big Dutchman offers various solutions that make it possible to supply and provide manipulable organic material to the pigs in the simplest way possible. The solutions include:
- straw troughs and racks
- pellet feeders
- roughage dispenser
Key advantages:
- depending on the hopper extension, capacities range from 2.4 to 8 m³
- the special transfer unit between the auger and the tube chain conveyor ensures reliable transport, especially when using straw
- two lid versions are available: electric or manual opening and closing (via winch)
