Automatic manure removal for barns with manure pit
The SIMBA single-layer belt automatic manure removal system, developed by Big Dutchman, regularly removes from the barn the manure that until now accumulated in the pit. This contributes decisively to the reduction of ammonia emissions and thus to the improvement of the barn environment. In addition, the low jump height makes it much easier for the hens to reach the nest.
The uniqueness of this belt manure removal is a new forced reversal, with which the belt, during manure removal, is deflected and wound onto the drive unit drum above the barn floor. The manure falls onto a transverse belt and is transported out of the barn. The belt scrapers are responsible for properly cleaning the manure belt.
When the manure removal finishes, the belt unwinds again with the help of a cable winch and is placed again under the area of raised plastic slats. The end switches ensure that the drive unit stops when the manure belt is completely unwound.
